Connect an AI assistant
Link ChatGPT or Claude to Ascend so you can list invoices, create customers, and manage your business using natural language.

Copy this URL and paste it into your assistant when asked for an MCP server address.

ChatGPT
- 1Open ChatGPT Settings → Connectors → Advanced and enable Developer mode (heed the risk notice shown there).
- 2In the chat composer’s "+" menu, turn on Developer mode.
- 3Click "Add sources", then "Connect more".
- 4Name the connector (for example, "Ascend") and paste the MCP server URL above.
- 5Ask ChatGPT to use Ascend — for example, "List my recent invoices."
Claude
- 1Open Claude → Customize → Connectors and click "Add custom connector".
- 2Name the connector (for example, "Ascend") and paste the MCP server URL above.
- 3Enable the connector from the chat composer, then ask Claude to use Ascend — for example, "Show my customers."
What you can do
Once connected, your assistant can read and manage your Ascend data on your behalf — just describe what you need in plain language.
- List and search invoices by status or customer
- Get full invoice details including line items
- List and search your customer directory
- Create new customer records
Your assistant only has access to the same data you can see while signed in. It cannot bypass your permissions or backend policies.
