How to make a receipt
- Add your business details so the payer knows who received the money.
- Add the payer's name — the person or company who paid you.
- List what the payment was for and the amount received.
- Note the payment method — cash, card, UPI or bank transfer — and the date.
- Download the PDF and share it by email or WhatsApp as proof of payment.
Receipt vs invoice
An invoice asks for payment — it's sent before or when money is due. A receipt confirms payment — it's issued after the money arrives and serves as the payer's proof.
