This Privacy Policy explains how Ascend ("Ascend", "we", "us", or "our"), a product of Ankverse Global Consultancy, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our invoicing application and website (the "Service").
By using Ascend, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Before you publish: Replace the bracketed placeholders (legal entity name, registered address, contact details) with your real information. This template is a starting point — have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer before launch, especially for compliance with India's DPDP Act, the UK/EU GDPR, and UAE data laws.
01.Who we are

02.Information we collect
a) Information you provide when you sign in. We use Google Sign-In. When you log in, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. We do not receive your Google password.
b) Information you enter into the Service. To create invoices, you provide details such as your business name, address, tax registration numbers (GSTIN/TRN/VAT/Sales Tax ID), logo, bank details, social media links, and Google review link. You also enter information about your customers (names, addresses, email, phone, tax IDs) and your products or services (descriptions, prices, tax rates).
c) Invoice and transaction data. The invoices you create, including line items, amounts, taxes, dates, and payment status.
d) Billing information. When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details — Stripe handles that securely. We retain your plan type, subscription status, and renewal date.
e) Technical data. Basic technical information such as browser type, device, and usage logs, collected to keep the Service secure and working.
03.How we use your information
We use your information to:
- provide the Service — let you sign in, create and store invoices, and manage customers and products;
- process your subscription payments and manage your plan;
- send transactional emails (such as emailing an invoice to your customer, on your instruction);
- provide customer support and respond to your requests;
- maintain the security, integrity, and performance of the Service;
- comply with legal and tax obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your customers' data for our own marketing.
04.Who we share information with (sub-processors)
We share data only with trusted service providers needed to run Ascend:

Each provider processes data under its own privacy and security terms. We may also disclose information if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
05.Where your data is stored
Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure provided by our hosting and sub-processors. Depending on the provider's configuration, data may be processed in data centres located in [region/country — confirm your Supabase project region]. We take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards for any cross-border transfer of data.
06.How we protect your data
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and row-level security so that each user can only access their own data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using reasonable technical and organisational safeguards.
07.Data retention
We retain your account and invoice data for as long as your account is active. Because invoices are tax records, you are responsible for retaining them as required by your local law (for example, six years in the UK; relevant periods under GST in India). If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or accounting purposes.
08.Your rights
Depending on your country, you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate data;
- request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten");
- export your data;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- withdraw consent at any time.

09.Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to operate the Service. We do not use advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling essential cookies may prevent the Service from working.
10.Children's privacy
Ascend is a business tool intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11.International users
Ascend is offered globally, including to users in India, the UAE, the United Kingdom, and the United States. By using the Service, you consent to the processing of your information as described in this policy, subject to the protections of your local law.
12.Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
